Abstract - The Digitisation of historic newspapers: lessons for all

This presentation will focus upon two recent projects at the British Library: The British Newspapers 1800-1900 project; and the Burney Newspapers project. Large scale digitisation of older newspapers creates specific requirements. These will be discussed, together with lessons learned, as the projects have been realised.
